Marcelo Bielsa tried something else tonight with Leeds United talisman Kalvin Phillips out.
Luke Ayling went back to right-back and Leeds actually played without a recognised defensive mid.
It didn’t work brilliantly and Leeds conceded a lot of early possession to Wolves, although they were kept to long-distance shots early on.
If anyone was playing the Phillips role it was Klich, who was dropping deeper than he normally does, but he didn’t impress the fans.
He’s been off the pace for a long while now and some supporters were asking how he’s managed to keep his place in the side.
The answer to that is the size of the squad.
There’s no real hope of resting Klich at the moment, with Rodrigo out injured. That was proved when Bielsa admitted that he played Klich despite him carrying a hip injury against Arsenal.
Liam Cooper had the best of the early chances but couldn’t get enough on his header from a free-kick.
Klich got in behind on the 25-minute mark but could only smack the ball off the base of the post after surprising the keeper.
The bulk of comments about Klich were negative, although he did out-muscle the huge Adam Traore at one point, leaving him on the ground and the fans in stitches.
The fairest thing we can say is that he just doesn’t look like the Klich we know and love, and his energy levels seem way down.
Here are the best reactions to Klich’s first 45 minutes today…
How Klich has kept his place in the first team I'll never know. Don't get me wrong I love the guy as a person but his performances have been woeful. #lufc

Seen very little to understand why Klich is playing. Off the pace.

Klich not doing his job, too slow

Just not sure Klich moves at all well enough when we don’t have the ball. Liability on our press and tracking back at the moment. #LUFC
