Leeds could face FA probe after Sergi Canos was hit by object in Brentford draw

Leeds United could face an FA probe after Brentford’s Sergi Canos appeared to be hit by an object during Sunday’s 2-2 draw, according to The Sun.

The Whites came from behind to snatch a point at the death today (5 December) at Elland Road, but they could soon be facing sanctions after someone from the Don Revie Stand hit the Bees man with a missile that made him fall to the ground clutching his neck.

Referee’s David Coote is expected to include the incident in his report as he was aware of it as Canos celebrated after putting the visitors up, and the Whites now face the possibility of an FA probe as a result.

Poor

Leeds need to fish out the fan responsible for the unsavoury scene and hand him a ban.

The FA will most likely be handing them a fine for failing to control their crowd, and that is not a good look on the team.

Players should not be in danger of being hit by objects just for celebrating, and someone needs to pay for this.

Leeds and their supporters have hardly gotten into trouble with the authorities since returning to the top-flight, and anyone trying to put the club’s name in disrepute deserves to be punished.

Brentford deservedly took the lead, but the Whites battled back via Patrick Bamford to snatch a hard-earned point.

The club will definitely be looking into the incident, and they should not hesitate to hand the offender to the appropriate authorities.

Elland Road should be safe for everyone, even if they grab a winning goal against Leeds, and they need to send the right message across to everyone in order to prevent this from happening again.
