talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan has praised Leeds United calling them a “very good side”, but he still thinks Arsenal will take the three points from the clash at Elland Road on Sunday.

Both sides go into the game on the back of heavy defeats. Leeds lost 4-1 to Crystal Palace while Arsenal lost 3-0 to Aston Villa.

Leeds had put the first dent in the Villa side this season after beating them 3-0.

Talking on the White & Jordan Show (talkSPORT, Tuesday, 12.15pm) Jordan said Leeds were unlucky against Palace.

“The 4-1 to Crystal Palace could easily have been the other way round,” Jordan said. “Leeds are a very good side.

“I think it will be a very exciting game of football. I expect Arsenal to win but it will be a very good game of football.

“It does seem that Bielsa only has one way of playing, on the front foot,” Jordan added, “and that could prove tricky against better sides.”

Palace on the right side of variance

The Bielsa narrative from last season was that his side suffered from burnout.

This season it’s that he has no Plan B and can only play attacking football on the front foot.

We take your 4-3 v Fulham and present our 1-0 against Sheffield United.

To be fair, the Leeds defence has been pretty shocking this season, conceding the joint-most of any side in the Premier League.

That has to change – and quick – but Leeds have also been unlucky with injuries to Diego Llorente, Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips.

That’s meant that Bielsa hasn’t had his strongest defensive side out for many matches this season.

It’s also fair to say they were on the wrong side of variance in the game against Crystal Palace.

The offside decision against Patrick Bamford was terrible, the freak own goal and the wonder free-kick don’t go in on other days.

The xG in the game – 1.3 v 0.85 – was a lot closer to the game we were watching. And we think Leeds can beat Arsenal on Sunday.
