Karen Carney makes Leeds United relegation prediction after 3-2 win v Wolves

Karen Carney believes that Leeds United have shown enough promise to retain their Premier League status this season.

The Whites faced four injuries during their 3-2 win over Wolves, but picked up three crucial points on Friday night.

Carney believes that while the injuries were a big problem, they have done enough to stay up.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, she said, “They have plenty of opportunities to pick up points. I think they’ll be fine.

“You’re starting to see more of Marsch and how he wants the team to play.

“The young lad [Joe Gelhardt] is technically good. After the Norwich win, Elland Road just erupted. It was immense.”

Staying up?

Six points from their last two games is a terrific return and Leeds have every reason to be proud of it.

While the wins have not been the most convincing ones, they’ve resulted in the Whites adding crucial points on the board – something nobody will be complaining about.

Sacking Marcelo Bielsa was an unpopular decision and was always going to be a hard one to sell to the fans.

However, if Jesse Marsch keeps grinding out wins and builds his team in the summer, few will be questioning the decisions made by the board.

That said, the Whites still cannot afford to take their feet off the pedal and must churn out at least three more wins before the season ends to guarantee their safety.

In other Leeds United news, Steve McManaman claims that a Whites man has already lost the trust of fans and some players after what happened last week.
