Journalist shares what Andrea Radrizzani did after Leeds United win v Brentford

Leeds United earned a dramatic last-day victory to secure their status in the Premier League.

Jack Harrison’s extra-time strike from the edge of the penalty area sealed a 2-1 win for the Whites. In the other game, Burnley lost 2-1 against Newcastle to go down to the Championship.

Andrea Radrizzani ran onto the pitch to join the players to celebrate with the fans.

Joe Donnohue wrote on Twitter: “Andrea Radrizzani sprinting across the pitch to celebrate with the players and fans.”

What a day!

It was an amazing 90 minutes of football you’ll ever see, and the tension was just unbearable at times.

The scenes after the final whistle was simply incredible. Raphinha celebrated with the fans with the Brazil flag in his hand. It was amazing.

This could be his last game for the club, but he gave his everything on the pitch. He scored the opener after winning the penalty himself, and has been instrumental throughout the campaign.

The summer transfer window is now going to be very very interesting.

Kalvin Phillips has stated that he won’t leave the club if they stay up, so, unless the Whites receive a massive transfer fee for free, he is likely to stay put.

Barcelona could try to lure Raphinha away, but they now need to pay a massive transfer fee for him. With the Spanish club struggling financially, they could back away from the negotiation table.

The Whites need investment in the summer. Jesse Marsch should be given time and freedom to sculpt the squad to his own taste.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay has shared if Andrea Radrizzani heard fans chants during the Brighton draw.
