Jayden Bogle blows Sky Sports pundit away in Leeds win v Oxford – ‘Wonderful’
Jayden Bogle excelled for Leeds United again as they claimed a 1-0 win against Oxford United on Friday.
Leeds edged another step closer to securing automatic promotion to the Premier League after walking out of the Kassam Stadium with all three points on 18 April.
Barring an early attempt from Cameron Brannagan, the Whites started the game on the front foot and reaped the rewards for it, with Manor Solomon putting them in front in the 33rd minute.
Although the West Yorkshire outfit pushed to double their lead in the second half, it was not to be, meaning Solomon’s goal eventually proved to be the winner.

Bogle wows in ‘wonderful’ Leeds moment v Oxford
Solomon‘s first-half goal put Leeds on course for the win against Oxford, but he cannot take the credit for the goal himself.
The goal came from Joe Rodon playing an exceptional through-ball to Bogle, who then put the ball on a plate for the Tottenham loanee.
Reacting live on Sky Sports, Andy Hinchcliffe was particularly blown away by Bogle’s role in the goal, describing his cross as ‘wonderful’.
Minutes | Passes | Chances Created | Touches | Successful Dribbles | Duels Won | Defensive Actions |
90′ | 37/44 (84%) | 1 | 74 | 1/2 | 4/6 | 4 |
Waxing lyrical about Bogle, the former Everton ace went on to point out how considerate the right-back’s pass to Solomon was.
“In a flash, everything changes”. Hinchcliffe said on Sky Sports Football (18 April, 8:34 pm).
“Tyler Goodrham is not really appreciating the run that Bogle is always going to make. There’s no pressure on the ball.
“Goodrham, you have to be aware of where that ball is going to end up and get there first.
“Bogle gets there first and it’s a wonderful cross as well, so considered, it’s laid on a plate for Solomon.
“Just shows you can work so hard for half an hour, deny Leeds, and then suddenly in a flash, one decent pass in behind you, a good forward run, a considered cross, then you’re facing your own goal and you’re a goal down, brilliant from Leeds.”

Elland Road ready for Premier League party
The victory over Oxford saw Leeds return to the top of the Championship table, taking their points tally to 91 and leading Burnley on goal difference.
Farke’s side could now seal promotion to the Premier League as early as Monday, 21 April.
The Whites will be confident about adding three more points to their tally when they host 16th-placed Stoke City at Elland Road, while Burnley lock horns with third-placed Sheffield United.
The West Yorkshire outfit can all but confirm their place in the top flight next season just by winning their game against Stoke.
