Leeds United are edging closer to making their return to the Premier League, with just four games remaining.

Daniel Farke's side face Oxford United on Good Friday, in a game that could take Leeds one step closer to promotion.

Despite a somewhat of a collapse in March, the Whites have found their form once again, and have a five-point cushion over third-placed Sheffield United, who still have Burnley to play.

If Leeds can secure all three points against the Yellows, it could potentially increase their advantage to eight points, though it will depend on results elsewhere.

Leeds can seal promotion very soon

Farke has been under pressure all season to deliver promotion to Elland Road, and after the disappointment of missing out last campaign, he will be a relieved man if they can get over the line this time out.

Leeds certainly look nailed on for a Premier League return, and that could be confirmed as early as Monday (21 April), though the Whites will need several things to go their way.

Leeds look set to win promotion

First and foremost, Sheffield United would need to lose to Cardiff today, which many will see as unlikely, but considering they have lost to Plymouth and Oxford in recent weeks, it's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility.

Leeds will need to secure a victory against Oxford and then Stoke on Monday, while crossing their fingers for a Burnley win against Sheffield United.

Should all of those scenarios fall in favour of Leeds, promotion will officially be confirmed on Monday evening, with the clash between second and third due to take place at 5:30pm GMT.

Leeds have a huge summer ahead of them

It would take something out of the ordinary to stop Leeds getting promoted from this point, and with that in mind, some focus will already be placed on the summer transfer window.

Leeds need to recruit well this summer if they are to have any chance of avoiding an immediate relegation back to the Championship.
