The talkSPORT crew have delivered their predictions for the Friday Night Football clash between Leeds United and West Ham.
The good news is that no one is predicting a loss for Leeds at Elland Road.
However, it’s only Alan Brazil who thinks that Leeds will come away with all three points, while Ray Parlour and Trevor Sinclair think the spoils will be shared.
Talking at the end of the Breakfast show (talkSPORT, Friday, 9.30am) Brazil said, “Right, Leeds v West Ham at Elland Road tonight, what do you think? I’m going, it’s a tricky one, I’m going for 2-1 Leeds. Ray?”
“Draw 1-1,” Parlour said.
Sinclair agreed saying, “Draw just because of the intensity that Leeds bring and West Ham don’t have the number nine they need at the moment.”
Three huge games
Leeds have three massive games coming up in the next two weeks as the fixtures start coming thick and fast.
West Ham at home followed by Newcastle at home and then a trip to Old Trafford is a mouth-watering prospect.
Nine points would be incredible, six points would be acceptable, but we really think Leeds can come out on top of an entertaining clash tonight.
The defence might have been disrupted with injuries to Robin Koch and Diego Llorente but attack is the best form of defence for Marcelo Bielsa and we’ve got Rodrigo and Raphinha lining up together for the first time tonight.
The bookies agree with us and Brazil, with Leeds at around evens for the win. The away win is about 2/1 with the draw slightly shorter than that.
The first goal could be key. Leeds don’t lose often when they go behind (Chelsea was an aberration) and we can see a 2-0 win if they get that crucial first goal.
