'Insane', 'Unbelievable', 'Wow' – Many Leeds fans stunned by Whites post on Championship restart
The Leeds United fans have been proving they’re the best in the land again after the success of the club’s Crowdie scheme was revealed.
Crowdies are cutouts of fans that Leeds want to pack into Elland Road following the restart of the Championship.
Fans have been uploading photos of themselves and paying £25 for the privilege of taking their seat at Elland Road.
And the club revealed that, to date, 15,000 fans have taken up the option to make Elland Road look packed and give a boost to the players.
That’s more than a lot of Championship clubs get when fans are allowed into stadiums and we’re with one fan who said it was “incredible”.

Beyond the show of support, this is creating an alternative revenue scheme for the club at a time when they’ve dropped around £2.5m from the loss of fans in the last five home games.

At £25 a pop, that’s £375,000 that Leeds have just made, minus what the Crowdies are costing them to make.
And we think that there are going to be many more by the time Leeds get set to play their first home game a week on Saturday.
First up is a tough trip to Cardiff on Sunday. Then it’s time for the Crowdies to take their bow in the biggest game of the season, when third-placed Fulham travel to Elland Road.
Two wins will put Leeds on the brink of the Premier League and give the 15,000+ Crowdies something to cheer about.
