'Hell of a scramble' – Kevin Campbell predicts Leeds finishing position & sends play-off warning
Kevin Campbell believes that Leeds United and West Brom are the best teams in the Championship and will finish in the top two.
The former Arsenal striker also warned that there would be a ‘hell of a scramble’ for the remaining play-off places.
Talking on The Football Show (Sky Sports, Tuesday, 11am) Campbell said, “There’s still plenty to play for but I think Leeds and West Brom have been the best teams in the Championship.
“I think they’ll go up automatically, but there’s a hell of a scramble for the play-offs places and I think that will go down to the wire.”
You’d be hard-pressed to find a pundit who doesn’t think that Leeds will get promoted.
The claims that Leeds will run out of gas have been negated by the enforced break on lockdown.

And while it’s been said by Stephen Warnock that Leeds will suffer from not having fans at Elland Road, he doesn’t believe that will be enough to dislodge them from the automatic promotion spots.
Talking on The Football Show on Monday (Sky Sports, 11am), Warnock said, “When you walk out at Elland Road, that roar, that buzz, you get the feeling it’s something special and Leeds’ position going into lockdown was such a great one. I think it would have been beneficial for their fans to be there.”
We wouldn’t argue with that but we’d also point out that Leeds have already sold over 15,000 Crowdies and that number will only increase between now and the massive game against Fulham a week on Saturday.
It means that fans (or their cardboard cutouts) will be there and Elland Road will be at least half full.
That will remind the players that their fans are completely behind them and how much it means for them to go on and secure promotion.
