Hwang Hee-Chan and Boubacar Traore ruled out for Wolves ahead of Premier League clash v Leeds United

Wolves duo Hwang Hee-Chan and Boubacar Traore have both been ruled out of the Premier League clash with Leeds on Saturday (18 March) by injury expert Ben Dinnery.

The Whites travel to Molineux for a huge game at the bottom of the table, as Javi Gracia’s side sit 19th in the table and one point adrift of safety, but just four points behind their opponents on the day in 13th place.

And the hosts have now been dealt a double blow with two more players being ruled out of the game against Leeds, although attackers Pablo Sarabia and Matheus Cunha are fit and expected to play.

Diego Costa, Hugo Bueno, Chiquinho and Sasa Kalajdzic are long-term absentees, while Leeds are expected to be without Adam Forshaw, Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas and Tyler Adams for the game.

Boost

Boubacar Traore has been a consistent performer for Wolves this season and Hwang Hee-Chan is someone who could easily have been wearing a Leeds shirt for this game if Jesse Marsch had had his way at Elland Road.

Both players being out alongside the other four players that were already known about greatly reduces Julen Lopetegui’s options on the pitch, while Sarabia and Cunha coming back from injury will hopefully mean they’re not totally fit and sharp.

Javi Gracia is likely to look to be solid defensively for this game as defeat could see a gap open up between themselves and the teams above them, but a win would see them drag Wolves right back into the scrap for survival.

Leeds absolutely need to start pushing up the table and claiming wins to go with the performances that they’ve put in, because too often the result hasn’t matched the performance.

With injuries going in our favour for this one, we won’t get a better opportunity to hurt them and claim a massive three points towards our survival.

In other Leeds news, one Elland Road hero has admitted he “was angry” at Jesse Marsch after his exit was confirmed but he hopes to return one day.
