Gary Lineker reacts to Stuart Dallas injury in Leeds United 4-0 loss v Manchester City
Gary Lineker has hoped that the injury suffered by Leeds United midfielder Stuart Dallas is not serious.
Dallas picked up a serious injury against Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday, a game the Whites lost 4-0.
The Northern Ireland international was involved in a collision with Jack Grealish towards the end of the first half.
Lineker wrote on Twitter: “That looks awful for Stuart Dallas. Hopefully not as serious as it appears.”
Big blow
Jesse Marsch said after the game that Dallas will need a scan, but he is confident that it’s not a knee injury, which would have surely ended the season for him.
It’s a serious injury though, and the Whites will hope that he can still make some contribution towards the end of the season.
Leeds didn’t play as badly as the scoreline suggests, but they couldn’t take their chances.
At the same time, they were very sloppy at the back, and conceded some basic errors, mainly while defending the set-pieces.

The club missed Liam Cooper today who once again picked up an injury just ahead of the game.
In his absence, it felt like the Leeds defenders were not confident of their roles, while Junior Firpo was very poor with his defending.
Leeds also lacked cohesion in their attack, with Rodrigo and Raphinha missing some good chances to score. The decision making could have been a lot better.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
