Emma Jones belts out brilliant new Raphinha song on Official Leeds podcast

Emma Jones tried to get Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford and Jermaine Beckford to join her in a rendition of a brand new Raphinha song on the Official Leeds United podcast.

They left her high and dry but it didn’t deter Jones from doing a fantastic job all by herself.

The call had gone out in a previous podcast for a Raphinha chant.

One came from BBC Breakfast Sports presenter Mike Bushell who said, “We need a Raphinha anthem we can sing from the terraces when we get back.”

However, the best was from a Leeds fan to the tune of She’s Electric by Oasis, and Jones belted this one out all by herself. [Segment starts at 01:30 on the podcast]

“He’s Brazilian, he didn’t even cost £20m

“Raphinha is [swear] brilliant, and he plays on the wings for Leeds.”

After the solo Jones said to Bamford and Beckford, “You left me high and dry there.”

Raphinha to provide all the tingles

We can’t wait to hear Marching on Together belting out from the Elland Road terraces and hopefully that will happen in the last game of the season against West Brom.

That’s the current target with the government set to ease restrictions in stadiums from May 17.

That will also give Leeds fans their first chance to see Raphinha live, in person.

According to MOT Leeds News columnist Paul Robinson, fans are going to be even more wowed when they see him in person.

Robinson said his movement, pace and skills are electric and don’t come across the same way on TV.

That’s a thrilling prospect – Raphinha already looks pretty good on TV.

As for the song? We can actually see this catching on.
