Super Computer predicts where Leeds will finish in Premier League
Top prediction site FiveThirtyEight has predicted that Leeds United will finish in 12th in the Premier League despite losing four of their last five games.
That’s a place down from their last prediction, with Wolves moving up to take the 11th place spot.
The site predicts that Man City will win the league at a canter, with Newcastle flipping with Fulham for the last relegation spot.
It means that just West Brom, from the newly promoted clubs, will go straight back down.
No need to panic
First the bad news. Leeds United have lost four of their last five games and are in a real slump in form.
The latest defeat was another unlucky one, with the 2-0 scoreline flattering West Ham.
Our inability to deal with set-pieces, a dodgy VAR decision and some terrible finishing from Patrick Bamford did for us.
Now the good news. We should have come away from the game with at least a point and West Ham are genuine top-six contenders.
We had two goals disallowed, one from a very dodgy looking VAR offside and we created chances.
The hard work has already been done, though. Leeds are comfortably in mid-table, and although some fans are now starting to look over their shoulders, this prediction table should give them some relief.
It claims there’s less than a 1% chance of Leeds getting relegated, the same as Liverpool and Tottenham.
Ask any Leeds fans whether they’d have taken that at this stage of the season and you would have got a resounding “Yes!”
(Now some more bad news. It’s Chelsea next.)
