'Fantastic' - Tony Dorigo blown away by Leeds star who has been 'Superb this season'
Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is definitely blowing away the cobwebs of a poor season at Elland Road last year.
The 23-year-old has already surpassed his goal total from the previous campaign, where he only managed four goals. Harrison’s goal against Birmingham on Sunday was his fifth, and he has already doubled his assist total halfway through the season.
Marcelo Bielsa has definitely made it clear that Harrison has cemented his spot on the left-hand side, and he is second in terms of goal involvements in the entire squad.
Tony Dorigo is one who couldn’t hide his affection for Harrison after the Birmingham game, claiming he has been blown away by the Manchester City loanee this season.
“Jack Harrison, I think he’s been superb this season,” he said on the LUTV website.
“The fitness level we’ve got, he’s able to charge forward, but then to have the awareness of the run from Costa.”
Dorigo then went on to analyse the second goal, which coincidentally was Harrison’s deflected strike – something he believes was much more difficult than it looked.
“Eventually, it comes back quite firmly to Harrison, who does fantastic just to control that volley.”
Both Harrison and Helder Costa are starting to come into their own and consistently offer great threats from either side of the field.
The Whites duo have delivered a bigger threat as a combined attacking duo compared to last season, where Leeds were heavily relying on Pablo Hernandez on the right-hand side.
Harrison has improved massively, and if he continues to get better in West Yorkshire the sky is the limit.
