'Do you know what?' – BBC journalist predicts score (and scorers) in Leeds clash v Swansea
BBC journalist Adam Pope has predicted a 2-0 win for Leeds United today against Swansea City in the lunchtime kick-off.
Talking ahead of the game, as filmed by co-commentator Noel Whelan, Pope said that Patrick Bamford would score and Pablo Hernandez would get the other on his return to his former club.
“Do you know what?” Pope said. “I’d take a point but I think Leeds will win.”
If Bamford does score it would be the first time this season he’s scored in three successive games and move him one step closer to 20 league goals.
That would represent a fine return for a player who’s had extensive criticism from fans this season – he’s on 16 goals at the moment.

Opportunity knocks

The nerves are starting to jangle for the Leeds fans but this is a real opportunity. A draw wouldn’t be terrible but a win would really put Leeds on the brink of promotion.
The bottom line is clear. They need seven points from four games. A win today would see them needing just four points from three games.
The maths is on Leeds side and the bookies are as well. They’ve got Leeds as short as 4/6 to take the three points back to Yorkshire, with Swansea as big as 4/1 to spring a shock.
It’s not going to be an easy game but if Leeds play anywhere near the way they did against Stoke on Thursday then they’ll simply have far to much for the home side.
The big question ahead of kick-off is whether Marcelo Bielsa will name an unchanged line-up or start Hernandez for the first time since the season resumed.
We’ve got a sneaky suspicion that he’ll parachute Hernandez in against his former club.
