Daniel Farke has made the right call by starting Largie Ramazani in his Leeds United XI to face Cardiff on Saturday (21 September).

The Whites confirmed their side to face the Bluebirds on X, with Ramazani replacing Manor Solomon in the starting side after the Israel winger picked up a back injury to rule him out of contention.

Farke had previously named unchanged sides against Hull City and Burnley, but with Solomon unavailable, Ramazani will finally be given a chance to impress from the off in South Wales.

Patrick Bamford and Joe Rodon were both doubts ahead of kick-off due to respective injury worries, but both have been passed fit to play, with the striker on the bench.

Farke has been hesitant to make unnecessary changes to his starting XI throughout his time in the dugout at Elland Road, but injuries have certainly forced his hand ahead of kick-off in Cardiff.

Solomon's injury – as well as the longer-term absence of Daniel James after he aggravated an issue before the international break – has opened the door for Ramazani to stake a starting claim of his own.

Facing a Cardiff side shackled to the bottom of the Championship table, Farke's men must produce a fast response off the back of their below-par showing in the 1-0 home loss to Burnley.

Much has been made of the Peacocks' lack of potency from set-pieces so far this campaign, suggesting that the likes of Joe Rothwell could make an impact off the bench.

In open play though, all eyes will be on Ramazani's first start for the club, and with no telling as to when James and Solomon will be back, the onus is on the Belgian to show Farke what he's made of.
