Stuart Dallas lets slip that another Leeds first-team player is leaving club this summer
Leeds United played their last game of the season on Sunday, beating West Brom 3-1 and moving to ninth in the table.
It meant Leeds finished above Everton who had been in the mix for Champions League places.
It’s been a fantastic season and it was topped off by fans returning, albeit in small numbers, to Elland Road.
The day was a celebration but it was bittersweet in that it marked the final games for Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi.
And there are going to be more departures as well.
Talking after the game, Stuart Dallas let slip that Gjanni Alioski would be leaving the club too.
That had been talked about but there had been no official confirmation ahead of the game.

“This has been an incredible journey to share with people,” Dallas said. “I spoke earlier about Bera and Pablo… Alioski, where is he? He’s not here…
“This for me it’s a special moment because these people have given so much to the club, we’ve achieved so much together and we’re losing them as teammates.
“For me, it’s sad because they’ve been such a big part of our group. It’s sad… I don’t know what to say. They’ve been great servants to the club.”
Heroes one and all
This had been expected but there was no official confirmation, which means that Alioski didn’t get the same send-off as Hernandez and Berardi.
It’s no less a shame.
Hernandez will go down as the player who pushed Leeds over the line for promotion back to the Premier League.
But Alioski has given a huge amount to the club and he’ll go with the full blessing of the Leeds fans.
It’s also a shame that none of the three got to witness a full Elland Road back in the Premier League, but we’re so glad there were some fans to see them on their way.
As Dallas went on to say, these things happen in football and Leeds are now looking to the future.
We’ll forever have one eye on the past though and we’ll be desperately sad to see all three of these players leave.
