Crysencio Summerville in 10/10 display – Leeds United player ratings v Rotherham

Leeds United stormed to a 3-0 victory against Rotherham at Elland Road, thanks to a lovely brace from Crysencio Summerville as well as another goal from Patrick Bamford.

A controversial first-half goal from Bamford gave Leeds the lead, although the ball may have struck his arm on its way into the back of the net, and the home side went into half-time 1-0 up.

The second half saw Summerville turn on the style with two goals to extend Leeds’ lead and show the home crowd just what he can do, drawing a standing ovation from the crowd when he departed.

Leeds United storm to win at Elland Road

MOT Leeds News has rated the Whites’ players out of ten today…

Illan Meslier – 7

Made two saves late in the game to preserve his clean sheet. Also prevented a scare though as a mishit backpass almost found its way in before he scrambled to keep it out in a strong display.

Archie Gray – 7

Another strong display at right-back from the 17-year-old who looks determined to hold onto his place in the starting XI despite the deadline-day arrival of a more natural right-back in Connor Roberts from Burnley.

Joe Rodon – 8

Rodon is one of the most consistent players every time he pulls on that Leeds shirt, and today was no different. A 90 per cent passing accuracy was matched by his five clearances as he tidied everything up at the back. [Sofascore]

Ethan Ampadu – 7

He has slotted into the back line alongside Rodon and taken to the role like a duck to water despite his preferred midfield role, setting the tone for the rest of the team with another impressive display.

Junior Firpo – 8

It was his challenge that led to Leeds’ second goal, winning the ball back on the halfway line and immediately looking to play forward, with that attacking mindset which has been a staple of his recent displays as he also recorded one key pass before coming off after 64 minutes.

Ilia Gruev – 7

As usual, the midfielder impressed in midfield with his composure in possession and willingness to always look for the ball forward, while also displaying his grit and determination to break up play. An important performance that should not go unnoticed.

Glen Kamara – 6

It feels harsh to play this display down as a routine one for Kamara, but such has been his consistency since arriving at Elland Road. A 100 per cent pass accuracy often saw him play safe, but that ability to retain possession is crucial to the way Farke wants his team to play. [Sofascore]

Leeds United

Wilfried Gnonto – 6

The Italian winger was impressive yet again despite some inconsistency in the final third. His pace and trickery caused issues as ever and he was unlucky not to come away with an assist or goal after two key passes and three shots on goal.

Georginio Rutter – 9

It was a creative masterclass from the Frenchman who has been thriving in the number-ten role behind Patrick Bamford since Farke made the tweak to his role. Four key passes, one assist, a 100 per cent cross accuracy and a huge nine dribble attempts saw him at his very best.

Cyrsencio Summerville – 10

Yet another outstanding performance from the Dutchman at Elland Road saw him dominate the attacking game as he so often does. Two goals from both shots on target, four key passes, two attempted dribbles and five attempted crosses saw him play his part as Leeds’ main man yet again. [Sofascore]

Patrick Bamford – 8

A very impressive performance leading the line at Elland Road, Bamford was a constant threat in the box and always looked to get a shot off to test the goalkeeper, in a display of his thriving confidence since being trusted to play the starting number nine role again.
