Confirmed Leeds United under-23s starting XI v Manchester United
Leeds United under-23s are set for their biggest afternoon of football since returning to the top flight of the Premier League 2.
A short trip awaits the young Whites as they take on bitter rivals Manchester United across the Pennines.
Mark Jackson will be hoping for a change in form for his side, who have thrown away numerous winning positions in the past month.
This is the side he has chosen to go out and get the points.
Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Whites have gone with a strong line-up.
Sam Greenwood is captaining the side, with the likes of Amari Miller and Sean McGurk either side of him in the final third.
The likes of Joe Gelhardt and Charlie Cresswell aren’t involved and will be guaranteed to be involved against Leicester tomorrow.
Gelhardt is the one name on everyone’s lips right now at Elland Road, and it will be interesting to see how long he gets this afternoon.
With Leicester City the visitors to West Yorkshire tomorrow in the Premier League, Marcelo Bielsa will be keeping a close eye on this one.
There are still some injury problems going through the senior squad, meaning the bench will once again be mainly occupied by some of these under-23 stars.
It will be interesting to see if any of them can make a real impact and start pushing their way towards the senior side.
Let’s hope for a huge three points to kick off the weekend in style.
