Confirmed Leeds United U23s starting XI v Derby County

Leeds United under-23s have confirmed their starting XI for tonight’s clash with Derby County at the Loughborough University Stadium.

Confirmed on the Leeds United Twitter account prior to kick-off, Mark Jackson’s side have made three changes to the side that lost 4-2 to Tottenham Hotspur last week.

Crysenscio Summerville, Kris Moore and Stuart McKinstry all come in from the beginning.

Joe Gelhardt drops to the bench alongside Sean McGurk and Liam McCarron.

Charlie Cresswell begins in central defence after signing a new contract this week.

The game will be shown live on LUTV for those fans who want to watch and keep track of the score as the game is ongoing.

After last week’s 4-2 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur, the young Whites will be bidding to get back on track tonight.

It was the Dilan Markanday show at Thorp Arch as he netted a hat-trick during a manic first-half that saw five goals scored.

Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood also got on the scoresheet, but only Spurs’ Nile John netted in the second period as the away side ran out comfortable winners.

It was a rude awakening to the top division for Jackson’s side after they stormed to the Division 2 title last term.

A 3-1 win over Crystal Palace saw them start out well, but they were reminded of the class that exists in the league by Spurs.

Summerville came on as a half-time substitute last week but he is being given a run out from the start.

He will surely still be included in Marcelo Bielsa’s next first-team squad, though, as the senior side do not play until Sunday.
