Leeds United have named an unchanged starting XI for the Premier League clash against Newcastle on Wednesday.

Marcelo Bielsa has decided to stick with the team that fell to a disappointing defeat against West Ham, leaving Pascal Struijk on the bench.

Confirmed on their Twitter account prior to kick-off, Pablo Hernandez remained on the bench despite sparkling for the under-23s on Sunday.

After looking less than inspiring against West Ham, the Whites will be desperate for three points at Elland Road this evening.

Bielsa confirmed that Patrick Bamford was fully fit to keep his spot leading the line against the Magpies after worries surfaced this week.

After the striker was dragged off early against West Ham last week, some started to question whether or not it was a fitness worry.

Home games are vitally important in the Premier League, and with Newcastle and Burnley next up, these are great opportunities.

Manchester United, Spurs and West Brom are the upcoming away games, and these are all coming in the next three weeks.

With the likes of Burnley and Fulham starting to pick up some results, another negative result could quickly see Leeds dragged into a relegation battle after their positive start, and that can’t happen.
