It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Marcelo Bielsa has delivered a Leeds United fitness update from his pre-match press conference on Monday.

Bielsa was sparse on team news this week after being questioned for giving away his starting XI ahead of the game against West Ham last week.

As quoted by Leeds Live he said, "Nothing about it was incorrect. It would be incorrect if we thought that knowing the XI of the opponent gives you an important advantage. For me it doesn’t give you an important advantage.

"From now on to avoid any backlash I will not continue to give answers on the players who can or cannot play at the weekend."

Bielsa was asked specifically about whether Patrick Bamford was injured or not, after the striker was withdrawn after 74 minutes on Friday.

The good news is that he replied definitively, "No".

Wilson the worry

Leeds welcome Newcastle to Elland Road on Wednesday, with Steve Bruce's men on a high after beating West Brom 2-1 on Saturday.

Miguel Almiron and Dwight Gayle got the goals for Newcastle on Saturday but it's another player that Leeds will be most worried about.

Callum Wilson has been in brilliant form since his £20m move to Newcastle in the summer, scoring seven goals in 10 Premier League games.

Newcastle should also be back to near full strength after having training disrupted and the squad decimated after the Covid-19 outbreak.

Meanwhile, Leeds are in a funk, with the reality of life in the Premier League starting to bite after another defeat on Friday.

A win would change the mood completely but another loss, ahead of a trip to Old Trafford on Sunday, would be worrying.
