Leeds United have made one change to their starting XI for the Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

The Whites have been forced to drop the injured Kalvin Phillips, and Jamie Shackleton has been handed the huge chance to start in London.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off at the Emirates, Pablo Hernandez has been recalled by Marcelo Bielsa but will have to stay on the bench for now.

Phillips was the big injury doubt before the game.

It is disappointing that he hasn’t made it, but the Whites can’t rely on the Yorkshire Pirlo every week, and hopefully, this means he can be available against Wolves.

Tony Dorigo claimed that Phillips has become irreplaceable at Elland Road, and it is hard to disagree with that, and something will need to be done about that in the summer.

Shackleton will have the huge task of keeping the young attacking talent of the Gunners at bay in front of the defence.

Three points would establish Leeds’ spot in the top half of the Premier League, as they kickstart the second half of the season.

It would also extend their lead between them and Arsenal to four points, who would have thought that after promotion from the Championship last season.

This is a great opportunity for the Whites, who will be looking to build on their recent away form and extend their winning run on the road to three.
