Confirmed Leeds starting XI & team news v Liverpool

Leeds United have made two changes to their starting XI for their Premier League clash against Liverpool on Monday evening.

Marcelo Bielsa has welcomed back Pascal Struijk into his defence after that miraculous win over Manchester City last time out, which feels an eternity ago.

Confirmed on their official Twitter account prior to kick-off, the Whites have also recalled Jack Harrison, who will replace the injured Raphinha.

There was always going to be one guaranteed change going into this one.

Liam Cooper was shown his marching orders in that win over Manchester City and will serve the first game of his ban at Elland Road this evening.

Struijk was unfortunate to be dropped for the captain at The Etihad, and came on and proved his worth in the second half in a great defensive effort.

After plans for the European Super League were revealed, there is a possibility that Liverpool along with the other five members of the so-called top-six could be kicked out of the division.

The Whites will be watching closely just in case spots open up for European qualification, and three points here could do themselves a huge favour.

A big win could take Bielsa’s men into ninth spot in the Premier League, and only one point behind Everton, and two behind Spurs.

This could be a huge statement.
