BBC pundit in awe of 'brilliant' Brenden Aaronson during Leeds United v Crystal Palace
Leeds United may have not got the result they were hoping for but Brenden Aaronson was being lavished in praise from the media.
The 21-year-old went on a mazy run very early in the game to commit and then beat several Crystal Palace defenders before his shot was blocked and Pascal Struijk had to come and finish the job.
Jesse Marsch’s side were pegged back soon after by Odsonne Edouard and then put behind by Eberechi Eze but Sam Parkin could not get over the American’s class.
“Just brilliant play from Brenden Aaronson, he is a tenacious little player,” Parkin said to the BBC. “He slaloms through three Palace players who are fearful of getting a challenge in and giving away the penalty. Struijk just steers it in, getting good contact and it goes through the legs of Joel Ward.”
Top class
Leeds have pulled a masterstroke in signing this lad before anybody else managed to get a sniff because he has already looked a million dollars in the short time he has been at Elland Road.

He may have been seen as someone who simply runs a lot before he played for the Whites for the first time given his role at RB Salzburg but he is so much more than that.
His technical ability goes severely under the radar a lot of the time and even he might not realise how good he is and that moment at Selhurst Park said everything about him.
The scenes if he had found the net would have been extraordinary but the more he misses that kind of chance, the more under the radar he will go and that might be good for Leeds.
Clubs will be taking a very close look at him and how he adapts to the Premier League given all of the hype surrounding him and Marsch needs him to put his plan into action.
In other Leeds United news, there was one player who could not face the Eagles and Marsch has plans for a meeting with the individual.
