Leeds United: Jesse Marsch plans one-to-one meeting with Luis Sinisterra
Jesse Marsch has revealed his intentions of having a chat with Luis Sinisterra after he was sent off for Leeds United against Aston Villa.
The 23-year-old was already on a yellow card when he stopped a quick Villa free-kick from point-blank range and Stuart Attwell had no hesitation or choice but to brandish a second yellow, followed by red.
Marsch was not pleased with the Colombian international as he watched on from the stands after his own red card against Brentford and made no secrets of that.
“The second yellow I think is not an intelligent play and then gets us in trouble,” he said, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post. “I already spoke with the team about the fact that we need to be smarter than these moments and not dig holes for ourselves.
“Yeah, I’ll speak with Luis. I don’t think any big statement needs to be made. I think he’s pretty clear that that was not an intelligent decision. But he’s important for us and we really like him, as a guy and as a player,”

It is highly unlikely that Sinisterra has done this before in his career and he certainly won’t again now that he has been badly stung by it but you learn something new every day.
Perhaps he should have been more game aware in the heat of the moment by realising he was already on a yellow card but he is still a young player that will make mistakes like this one.
Marsch knows that he doesn’t need to be overly critical of him and that constructive words will go much further than outright anger and abuse.
Once he has sat out the one game he is suspended for, Sinisterra will come straight back into the fold with a point to prove and it might be the spark that lights the fuse.
If he goes on to have a sensational run of form for the next few months when he returns, then this red card might end up being the best thing that could have happened.
