Journalist confirms BBC will broadcast Leeds Championship games

Jonathan Buchan has confirmed that BBC Radio Leeds will be broadcasting commentary of the remaining Leeds United games.

Buchan was responding to a Leeds fan on Twitter who asked, “Do you know if BBC Radio Leeds will be providing commentary on the remaining Leeds United matches, even though they will be played behind closed doors?”

Buchan replied saying, “We will be” and added a thumbs-up emoji.

That’s great news for Leeds fans, who will be hoping that the regular team of Adam Pope and Noel Whelan will be doing the commentary.

Their commentary is infectious with Whelan a huge Leeds fan.

The Leeds games will also be available to watch on TV, with Sky Sports able to show a maximum of six games between now and the end of the season.

Sky have already announced that the first two Leeds games – against Cardiff (Sunday 21st) and Fulham (Saturday 27th), will both be broadcast.

Any games that Sky Sports don’t show will be available for £10 a match through LUTV.

The good news for Leeds fans is that if they can’t afford £10 they can listen to the game on the BBC.
