Alex Neil predicts what Bielsa will have done before Leeds showdown v Preston
Alex Neil has predicted that Marcelo Bielsa will set his Leeds United side to play differently to how they did at Deepdale earlier in the season.
Leeds play against Neil’s Preston at Elland Road on Boxing Day evening and go into that match knowing they have work to do to improve on their result in October.
Eddie Nketiah had to score an 87th-minute goal to earn the Whites a point in their away match at Preston after Tom Barkhuizen had earlier given Neil’s side the lead.
Leeds were arguably the better team in that match.
They boasted 64 per cent possession and had double the number of shots at goal [22] than Preston managed in the 90 minutes.
However Neil reckons that we could see something different when the two sides meet at Elland Road on Thursday.

“I don’t think it will be the same kind of game,” Neil said, as quoted by LeedsLive.
“Marcelo Bielsa will have been looking at the game in October and coming up with solutions to fix the issues we created for them.
“This one is going to be a completely different challenge.
“We are going to have to come up with something different.”
Leeds fans had better hope that Bielsa comes up with something different.
Although the Yorkshire club dominated possession and the shots at goal stats, they were hardly impressive at Deepdale.
Out of their 22 shots at goal, only three of them hit the target.
Plus, you could say that Nketiah’s last-gasp equaliser was down to some poor defending by the Preston rearguard.
Leeds cannot expect any favours this week when they welcome Preston to Elland Road and need to be a lot better than they were at Deepdale and in their last couple of matches.
