Phil Hay shares update on possible timescale of Adam Forshaw return from injury for Leeds

Adam Forshaw could be available for selection for Leeds United in two weeks’ time, according to The Athletic journalist Phil Hay.

Forshaw, 28, has not featured for the Whites since September 28 due to hip injury but there could finally be an end in sight to his injury hell.

Former Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Hay responded to a Leeds fan on Twitter who said she heard that Forshaw could be a fortnight away from returning to fitness.

Hay replied saying that timescale “could well be right”.

Leeds need Forshaw back to full fitness as soon as possible but it does seem as though they will not have him until after the busy festive period.

If he is two weeks away from being fully recovered then it could mean that we will see the former Middlesbrough midfielder feature in the clash against Sheffield Wednesday on January 11.

If that is the case then Forshaw is still set to miss matches against Preston, Birmingham, West Brom and Arsenal.

However it is better late than never as Leeds enter the second half of the season with the aim of trying to keep themselves in the top two spots of the Championship table.
