'Absolute scenes; Oh lordy' – Some Leeds fans think the Man City clash has just got even tastier

Leeds United welcome Man City to Elland Road on Saturday in a game that won’t need any help to be box office.

However, it might just get it after the Premier League announced the list of officials for this weekend’s games. The man heading to Elland Road? Mike Dean.

Dean makes the headlines an awful lot for a referee and was in amongst it again in the game between West Brom and Everton in gameweek two.

He sent off West Brom manager Slaven Bilic after the Croatian went looking for answers to some first-half decisions.

Following this, Dean came in for criticism from many pundits, although none were more outspoken than former Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor.

He said on talkSPORT, “Mike Dean is the most arrogant fool you will ever see… in not just refereeing but in life itself. I’ve never met anyone like him.”

Leeds fans might be fearing the worst but they needn’t worry too much. The only fans that seem to dislike him more are Man City fans.

One Leeds fans said that Dean would be so annoyed at all the Bielsa/Guardiola talk, that he’ll go “out of his way to make it all about him!”

Another said, “oh lordy. Welcome to the Mike Dean show…”, while another said he would be “box office”.

A prediction from another Leeds supporter was for “four red cards and 16 smug grins at the camera from Dean.”

One thing we can safely predict… It’s going to be an entertaining game and we certainly wouldn’t mind a couple of penalties from the Deanmeister…

Here are the best reactions from Leeds fans.
