MOT View: Bielsa must unleash 20y/o sensation as key Leeds player out of clash v Man City
Leeds United were expected to sign Jack Harrison on a permanent deal this summer but threw a curveball by taking him on another season-long loan instead.
He is expected to become a permanent Leeds player next summer and the loan deal meant the club had more money to spend elsewhere.
However, it hasn’t just cost Leeds another loan fee. It means that Harrison isn’t eligible to play in either of the games against Man City in the Premier League this season, with the first at Elland Road on Saturday.
Harrison has been in blistering form this season and put in an inch-perfect cross that Patrick Bamford finished for the late winner in the game against Sheffield United last weekend.
So, who will take his place?
Leeds have plenty of options on the right but there are no other senior left wingers.

Gjanni Alioksi has come in for Harrison before but we think 20-year-old Ian Poveda will be the man who Marcelo Biesla unleashes on Saturday.
Poveda knows all about Man City after signing for Leeds from Pep’s side. Poveda was on the fringes of the senior squad at the Etihad before getting demoted back down to the Under-23s and seeking a move.
Poveda is more comfortable on the right but can play on either wing and he’s shown enough in the Under-23s and the first team to suggest he can make a real impact on the game.
He came on for the last 30 minutes in the game against Sheffield United and proved again that he’s not lacking in confidence.
He didn’t have his best game but we think the half-hour he was given is in preparation for just his second start for Leeds. And playing against Man City will be extra special for the young talent.
