'A message to all Leeds United fans' – Vinnie Jones delivers message as 'high risk' warning made

The LUFC Trust has teamed up with big names such as Vinnie Jones to start the campaign to keep fans away from the remaining Leeds United games.

It released a video on Saturday morning that kicks off with a message from Jones.

Jones said: “Here’s a message to all the Leeds United fans. Please pay respect to all the other players, the fans, the NHS and especially our Norman. Don’t let us down guys.

Popular Leeds journalist Phil Hay added, “Do the right thing, stay at home, stay away from the games. I know it’s hard but I know you will.”

The Championship is just a week away from the restart with Leeds travelling to Cardiff on Sunday for their opening game back.

Following that it’s the biggest test for Leeds fans as Elland Road hosts Fulham in what is a massive marker for promotion.

Fulham are seven points back at the moment and realistically the only side that can catch us.

Fans have been starved of football and they know how important this game is.

Staying away from Elland Road is crucial, though.

A Daily Mail report said that Leeds and Liverpool could be forced to play in neutral venues amid the “high risk” of fans congregating outside Elland Road and Anfield.

So far that’s come to nothing, with the Merseyside derby playing out at Goodison and Leeds set to play home and away.

However, the Fulham game could set a marker for the rest of the season.

So far, the response from the vast majority of Leeds fans has been what you’d expect.

But, it only takes small minority of fans to ruin it for everyone.

Watch the video and heed the advice. After all, you don’t want to get on the wrong side of Vinnie Jones, do you?
