What Leeds are now doing better than every Premier League rival under Daniel Farke
Leeds United and Daniel Farke have been impressing since their return to the Premier League over the last two seasons.
There are certainly plenty of reason's behind that success at staying up last season, and starting this campaign unbeaten.
Manager Farke is one of those, with his ability to adapt proving key for the Elland Road outfit.
The LS11 outfit looked down and out by November in 2025-26, but the German changed his ways and in the end, the Whites comfortably survived.
Now, this season, Farke is continuing to prove important for the Yorkshire outfit.
As Leeds United have been finding their edge in the Premier League in a specific area.
How Leeds are adapting to set-piece era of football
The last few seasons have seen the importance of set-pieces rise in the world of football.
Designated set-piece coaches are being brought into the backroom staff of many, and it seems the Whites are beginning to embrace the trend.
As shared by Opta, Leeds United are the most dangerous team from set-pieces in the Premier League.
They share the Whites have the highest proportion of their shots coming from non-penalty dead ball scenarios with a total of 46.7 per cent.
Additionally, they have generated the highest proportion of their total xG from those situations as well with 41 per cent.
When it comes to their success, they have scored three of their seven goals from set-pieces, highlighting an early weapon that Farke has been using.
Why Leeds reveal is a timely statistic
Leeds becoming strong from set-piece scenarios is a conveniently timed reveal due to their upcoming fixture.
The Whites are travelling to the Emirates on Saturday, 10 October to face Arsenal, who are famously, or infamously - depending on who you ask - strong from dead-ball situations themselves.
Perhaps that can be where the Elland Road side can cause problems against the Premier League champions.
Arsenal are facing plenty of injury issues ahead of Leeds, particularly at centre-back with William Saliba out and Ezri Konsa a doubt for this weekend.
Replacement options for the London side are Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie, but they have had their own injury issues, playing few minutes this season.
And with a weakened backline, the opportunity for the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be there to exploit.
