Victor Orta is currently working on sealing a major new transfer for Leeds United to bring in a striker, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The newspaper has reported in their print edition [20 June, pg. 24], the Whites have a long list of targets in the final third for Jesse Marsch.

It is suggested that one of those is being worked on by Orta to get over the line and potentially become major signing number four of the summer already.

Writing in her latest column for the newspaper, Flora Snelson shared an update on the hunt for a striker as the Spaniard singles out his potential new striker.

"Leeds' search for a striker goes on," she wrote.

"They have a number of other targets for the role and director of football Victor Orta is currently working on landing one of them to strengthen Jesse Marsch's attacking option."

Here We Go.

With new one face in midfield having already arrived in the shape of Marc Roca, it is time for Leeds to now put all of their eggs in the basket of a new striker.

Patrick Bamford featured only nine times last season, and apart from success with Joe Gelhardt, failed experiments with Dan James and Rodrigo left us struggling majorly.

Orta is now pulling out all of the stops to get a deal over the line, and it will be interesting to see what kind of player he targets for the Whites.

The Independent has reported in the past week that a £17.1million bid has gone in for Paris Saint-Germain striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, with that certainly one to watch.

One thing for sure is that Leeds and Orta are not messing around this summer, and any move for a new striker could happen very quickly as we enter a new week.
