Troy Deeney doesn't think Leeds United need to complicate things against Manchester United on Sunday.

Daniel Farke's team have shown an identity this season, something that can't be said about the Red Devils under Michael Carrick.

The West Yorkshire outfit will host the Whites Rose derby on 18 October, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm local time.

With Elland Road welcoming a disjointed and timid Man United, Farke will likely want to give his team some simple instructions.

Lisandro Martinez's recent comments after the Red Devils' defeat against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League have been a major talking point coming into the game.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will surely have a role to play in stifling the visitors, in what could be a special night for those in LS11.

How Leeds can easily exploit Manchester United

Calvert-Lewin doesn't have the best record against Man United, but could be pivotal to Leeds' success in the next game.

Given Martinez's recent statements, if he does start for the Red Devils, Deeney wants to see the Whites' striker put him under pressure.

The Manchester club are near the bottom of the table in running statistics and all the West Yorkshire outfit need to do is smother them.

If Farke's team can keep consistent pressure on Man United, and the Elland Road faithful are behind the team, then Carrick and his side will be in for a long afternoon in LS11.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 15 October, Deeney said, "If you're Farke and this Leeds team, the team talk is very simple.

"Forget all the tactics, we're going to run all over them, let's see if they can keep up. And you've just got to show the stats in terms of running and sprints and high pressure.

"But I genuinely believe after this week's chat, the team talk from a Leeds point is, if you're Calvert-Lewin, start putting it on [Martinez].

"If he plays, put it on him, let me run him, let me get into his head, let's get the crowd up and let's see if they can handle it.

"If you're Leeds, you're licking your lips."

How Daniel Farke can stop Man United at Elland Road

Man United have been defensively shaky and have lacked legs in midfield.

The Whites will want to pressure the Red Devils' backline to force mistakes and overrun the middle of the park to stop them from controlling the game.

Farke must ensure the passing lanes to Bruno Fernandes are blocked and that the Portugal international doesn't have much time on the ball when he does get it.

Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka will be pivotal in closing down the Man United captain, arguably the biggest threat in the opposition squad.

There's no reason why fans in LS11 can't be confident about their prospects going into the game.
