Trevor Sinclair has unleashed a stinging rant on Leeds United after their 7-0 defeat against Manchester City this week.

The TalkSPORT pundit attacked the Whites for the "lack of heart" within the squad, something he insisted was a given last season.

Alan Brazil reacted to the rant, and he was left bamboozled at how bad some of the defending was at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking live on talkSPORT, Sinclair let both barrels loose on the Whites for their latest display on the biggest stage.

"You can lose," he said. "You can go into a game against a top club, which City are, and you can be overrun.

"I think it was the lack of heart, the lack of energy which is almost their DNA. They're high tempo with high running stats, giving it everything for the Leeds shirt - that was missing a little bit."

Brazil was left bamboozled by the performance, taking aim at some of the shocking defending on show from the Whites.

"What was the defending, though?"

Shocker.

Everything simply caught up with the Whites on Tuesday evening, and it was evident to see as each goal went in.

With more than 50% of the squad basically missing through injury, the same players have been forced to play every single week and try and force a result against the best in the Premier League.

It was clear that tiredness had caught up with the majority, and that has been translated to a lack of heart - something we will never agree with or accuse the lads of.

Sinclair is wrong with that one, and hopefully, that can be proved at Elland Road on Saturday evening against Arsenal.
