Three Leeds United questions to emerge from the past seven days include Dominic Calvert-Lewin worry

Leeds United have had another strong week as the first stage of the season comes to a conclusion.

The Whites hammered Newcastle United 4-1 at Elland Road last Monday, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored twice.

An own goal from Lewis Miley had got the ball rolling, while Noah Okafor was on target in the second half.

It was a much tougher outing against Crystal Palace on Sunday, as the Whites were forced to settle for a goalless draw.

Leeds are still unbeaten in the Premier League, though, as the campaign pauses for a three-week international break.

Here, MOT Leeds News looks at three questions supporters have from the past seven days at Elland Road.

Do Leeds United have a Dominic Calvert-Lewin?

It may sound a strange question to ask about Leeds' most potent attacking weapon.

But, Calvert-Lewin's excellent start to the season - which has yielded four goals in all competitions - has seen the 29-year-old earn an England recall.

This is obviously wonderful news and something to celebrate, and all Leeds fans will be wishing him well over the next few weeks.

However, from a selfish standpoint, there might be a concern in there given England have four games during the window including trips to Czechia and Croatia.

Leeds fans will be concerned over the prospect of their leading striker picking up an injury, so crossing everything he comes back in one piece.

Should Jayden Bogle be with Calvert-Lewin on England duty?

Jayden Bogle has gone seriously under the radar outside of Leeds.

Everyone at Elland Road knows just how good the 26-year-old has been since moving to West Yorkshire.

The question is whether Thomas Tuchel should have included him in his latest England selection.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is back in the fold, but he opted to call in Tino Livramento, whose injury woes meant he missed out on Newcastle's win over Hull City at the weekend.

If Bogle keeps playing how he is then surely he comes into Tuchel's thinking for the November round of games?

Is there still a slight long-term concern over Daniel Farke?

On the main, Daniel Farke has done a superb job since taking the Leeds job back in 2024.

But, there is often an underlying doubt among some sections of the Leeds fanbase over Farke's ability to take Leeds to the next level.

That sort of reared its head again as Leeds toiled against Palace, ultimately taking what could be a really point in the long term.

Farke looks set to sign a new contract in the coming weeks, so he's likely to be around for the long term.

No one will be more than Farke himself, though, that he has to prove he is worthy of that deal.
