Sunderland fans apologised to live on Sky Sports after Leeds United prediction
Jay Bothroyd has no doubt over the outcome when Leeds United travel to Sunderland this weekend.
Sunderland are rock bottom of the Premier League after losing five of their first seven matches.
Regis Le Bris' men have also had European action to contend with thanks to their hugely impressive campaign last time out.
The Black Cats travelled to Poland on Thursday night as they played out a 1-1 draw with Lech Poznan in the Europa League.
Leeds, by comparison, will have had eight days between matches by the time they face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
That is something former England international Bothroyd can see massively working in Leeds' favour.
'Leeds on cloud nine' pre-Sunderland
Leeds' form has not exactly been great of late, though nor has it been bad.
Last week's 1-1 draw with Manchester United sums things up pretty well right now.
It was considered a slightly underwhelming point given the state of Man United right now.
At the same time, Leeds did at least manage to dig deep and recover from behind when not playing all that well.
Daniel Farke's side now have one win from their past seven matches in all competitions.
Despite that, Bothroyd believes Leeds are on a high as he backed a 2-0 win for the Whites in the North-East.
"Sorry Sunderland fans," Bothroyd said. "Leeds are on cloud nine.
"Sunderland are in Europe, tired. Leeds are fresh and work hard. they've had some fantastic performances this season."
Sunderland set out for 19-year first vs Leeds
Sunderland and Leeds have a personal rivalry going on, giving they came up together and went after a lot of the same targets last summer.
The sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light the last time they met there in December last year.
However, Sunderland celebrated a 1-0 win at Elland Road towards the end of last season.
But not since 2006-07, when Roy Keane was in charge, have Sunderland beat Leeds in back-to-back league matches.
You have to go back to April 1957 for the last time that happened in the top flight.
Let's hope that run continues for a while longer yet.
