Leeds United return to Premier League football with a trip to Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.

With the Black Cats in Poland to take on Lech Poznan in the Europa League on Thursday, they take the final domestic slot of the weekend.

Regis Le Bris and his men currently sit bottom of the Premier League, and have several issues to contend with.

Daniel Farke will travel to the Stadium of Light confident, despite taking only one point from this opposition last season.

But, it won't be all sunshine and rainbows in the North East, with Storm Boelo set to cause carnage.

MOT Leeds News has rounded up all you need to know and any disruptions you can expect below.

What have Met Office said about Storm Boelo?

With Storm Austen crashing onto the shores of England on Thursday and into Friday, everybody is bracing for impact.

The ripple effect of that will also see the second named storm of the calender, with Boelo set to follow on Saturday.

While Austen is primarily down south, the low pressure to follow will hit the north hard, and be called Boelo.

The Met Office have now issued a yellow weather warning for Saturday and Sunday, primarily for wind.

It will cover the whole of Scotland, and go as south as Blackpool and Middlesbrough, engulfing Sunderland as it goes.

That will last until 9pm on Sunday evening, so expect blustery conditions throughout the 90 minutes for Leeds.

From injury and danger to life, travel restrictions will include road, rail, air and ferry, so expect some delays and leave plenty of time when travelling.

Despite that, the game should go ahead as expected.

Leeds rivalry vs Sunderland explained

Both of these great clubs bucked the trend of staying in the Premier League straight after promotion.

Of course, you're instantly pitted against each other, but both sets of fans appeared to take that far too literally.

Despite having no actual rivalry, it became somewhat of a spat online.

Sunderland famously appeared to beat Leeds to several transfers, including the links to Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki.

The Whites did the same this year with Tarik Muharemovic, too.

Fans of huge clubs like these are tribal, and they take these thing extremely seriously, which is why they celebrate when each other lose.

Given Sunderland took four points from Leeds last season, it's about Farke and his men reversing that and trying to do the same, maybe even all six in this campaign.

Even with the Black Cats being bottom, don't expect an easy afternoon.
