It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Garry Monk was sacked by Sheffield Wednesday on Monday night and, after the news was relayed by Athletic journalist Phil Hay, plenty of Leeds United supporters lined up to pay their, ahem, respects.

Monk gave Leeds fans brief hope of promotion back to the Premier League in the 16/17 season.

In the play-off spots for a large portion of the season, his Leeds side suffered a catastrophic loss of form at the business end and missed out on the top six right at the death.

It was thought that he would stay on after Andrea Radrizzani completed his takeover of the club but just two days later he resigned and took the job at Middlesbrough later that summer.

Leeds fans still haven't forgiven him for it and are loving the fact that his career has been on a slide since.

Monk was sacked after 11 games of the 20/21 Championship season, with just six points from 11 games. Sheffield Wednesday are bottom but one.

Meanwhile, after a turbulent season after he left – with first Thomas Christiansen and then Paul Heckingbottom proving to be completely out of their depth at Elland Road – Radrizzani found the manager who could take Leeds back to the top-flight.

It's worked out well for Leeds, not so well for Monk and these Leeds fans took the chance to gloat about how things have turned out.

There are still very bitter feelings about Monk at Leeds...

One witty Leeds fan (the Burley Banksy no less!) used the recent Trump news to pen the best reaction we've seen to the Monk news yet.
