Bruno Fernandes was skating on thin ice as Leeds United drew against Manchester United on Sunday.

The Red Devils took the lead, with Bryan Mbeumo scoring in the 35th minutem before Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised after the break as the game ended 1-1.

In the 17th minute, the Portugal international was involved in a late challenge against Tarik Muharemovic.

Darren England initially played the advantage at Elland Road, but Fernandes wasn't pleased with the whole situation and began shouting at the referee.

After play stopped, Man United's captain was shown a yellow card but continued his rant at the referee.

In that moment, it seemed like the 32-year-old midfielder had lost his head and was fortunate to stay on the pitch.

Was Bruno Fernandes lucky in Leeds vs Man United?

England had a frustrating afternoon at Elland Road and missed a few chances to penalise Man United.

Fernandes' demeanour and actions in West Yorkshire certainly weren't in the spirit of the game.

In the past, players have been sent off for remonstrating with the referees and it felt like the Portuguese midfielder had lost his head.

The Man United captain stayed on the pitch and played the full 90 minutes, but maybe he shouldn't have.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 19 October, Troy Deeney said, "Fernandes was lucky to stay on the pitch. I've never seen someone lose their head so much and not get a second yellow for that."

Daniel Farke's message, 'furious' exchange: Things you may have missed in Leeds vs Man United

Why Daniel Farke could think of midfield change after draw vs Man United

Ethan Ampadu, Ao Tanaka and Anton Stach were the three midfielders who started for Leeds against Man United.

The Germany international has been rather fortunate to keep his place in the starting lineup after some underwhelming displays since the start of the season.

Ilia Gruev is back from injury, while Brenden Aaronson and Sean Longstaff are raring for their opportunities.

There's no doubt Stach is one of the most talented players at Daniel Farke's disposal, but the German manager may want to make slight tweaks to get back to winning ways against Sunderland away from home next.
