Richard Keys and Andy Gray have backed Leeds United to beat Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.

The latest round of Premier League fixtures see the Whites travel to the North East on 25 October.

After a run of three games without a win, Daniel Farke will want to return to Elland Road with all three points.

Leeds are currently sat in the top half, with Sunderland bottom after a rough start to the new season.

Last season's meeting here finished 1-1, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin tapping home an equaliser in the second half.

But this time around, Keys and Gray are more confident of their chances.

Are Leeds overwhelming favourites?

It feels strange that everybody is so confidently backing Leeds in this one, with no game easy.

Speaking on the latest Keys and Grays Unleashed on YouTube, the duo are taking on AI in their Premier League predictions.

"I can see an away win here, Sunderland vs Leeds," Keys started.

"I think Leeds are probably too strong for them, Sunderland are bottom, let's not forget."

"Me too, I think you're right," Gray responded. "We have gone for a lot of away wins.

"Let's go 1-2."

Keys finished the segment, laughing and saying, "You're not too brave then."

Why Leeds will be cautious

Yes, Sunderland are bottom, but they're not pushovers.

Playing in Europe has harmed them domestically, but they won't roll over for anybody, especially at the Stadium of Light.

Leeds could be without Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach and Noah Okafor, which would turn the tide somewhat.

Farke held his cards quite close to his chest in his press conference, though, with the possibility of all three still being available.

That would obviously boost the chances of win, too.

It will no doubt be a physical battle, and with Storm Boelo set to hit the north hard, conditions will make it scrappy.

Leeds have proven they can do both this season, either playing nice football on the ground, or using long balls and set pieces to their advantage.

With the likes of Tarik Muharemovic, Nico Elvedi and Calvert-Lewin attacking the box, it doesn't help Sunderland to be missing Kevin Danso and Dan Ballard.

It could be a tight one, but Leeds will be confident of all three points.
