Leeds United came back from a two-goal deficit to draw with QPR on Saturday.

Daniel Farke's side increased their margin at the summit of the Championship to three points ahead of Sheffield United and Burnley playing.

With the promotion race being razor-close, every match is crucial and the Whites will be disappointed to not to have won despite fighting back from several setbacks.

Paul Parker stunned as Leeds concede twice v QPR

It looked like it was set to be a disaster of an afternoon for Farke's Leeds side, with their poor away form on show again in the first half.

Steve Cook doubled the hosts' lead in the 30th minute with their second attempt on goal and it was looking like a dismal afternoon for the visitors.

Speaking on BBC Radio London from Loftus Road (15 March, 13:03 pm), former QPR defender Paul Parker was left in disbelief, saying: "I cannot believe how much time there was for the cross. It is the same build up as the first goal.

"Incredible. Leeds have gone backwards since the first goal. The easiest header Steve Cook is ever going to have at goal."

Leeds United away form proves a concern again

Coming into the contest, Leeds' away record was a big concern with the Whites winning just eight of their 18 league matches on the road, dropping points in 10.

Their most recent away match was the 1-0 loss to Portsmouth on 9 March and the QPR result proved that their away form is still shaky, with four matches left to play outside of Yorkshire until the season concludes.

Leeds' record home and away.

It is a stark comparison to their record at Elland Road, which has seen them win 15 of 18 games, dropping points in just four matches in their own backyard.

However, they came back to draw the contest in London as they have done many times this season, showing their unbelievable spirit as they chase top-flight football for the first-time since the 2022/23 campaign.

Leeds have had to fight back in several matches to secure vital points in their race for Premier League football next season, including against their promotion rivals.

The Whites left it late to beat Sunderland with a 95th-minute winner from Pascal Struijk giving them all three points.

They followed that up with another big win against the Blades, with last-gasp strikes from Ao Tanaka and Joel Piroe securing victory.

They will need their star men to rise to the occasion again if they are to keep their automatic promotion place at the end of the season and get back to winning ways.
