Premier League make official Dominic Calvert-Lewin announcement after Leeds United appeal
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has his wish granted by the Premier League after Leeds United beat Newcastle United on Monday.
The England international was pivotal as the Magpies were dominated at Elland Road on 14 September.
Despite Daniel Farke's team getting the three points in fine fashion, the 29-year-old centre-forward had a slight issue with the officials.
In the 34th minute at Elland Road, it looked like Calvert-Lewin had scored for the hosts, but the goal was ultimately credited to Jayden Bogle.
The striker then left no confusion after finding the back of the net just before the break.
After the game, there was plenty of discussion about who scored the Peacocks' second goal, with the club lodging an official appeal.

As Calvert-Lewin and the right-back went up to head the ball, the striker clearly made contact.
On 16 September, the Premier League released a statement on X and rightfully credited the striker with the goal.
The former Everton ace now had three goals in the first four Premier League games of the season and there will surely be more to come from him.
