Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has won the PFA Fans' Player of the Month for September and October after an electric start in the Premier League that saw him score six goals in his first six games.

Leeds fans are absolutely delighted for the player who has worked his way through a lot of criticism at the club and come out the other side.

The official Leeds Twitter account announced the news with a witty, "No recount demands for this one!", in reference to the recent US election and Trump tantrums.

Fans were wondering how Bamford would get on in the Premier League – few thought he'd be as good as he has been.

He opened his account with a brilliant goal against Liverpool in the first game of the season after a mistake from Virgil van Dijk.

He really turned heads in the 3-0 win against Aston Villa, though, when he scored all three goals for his first top-flight hat-trick.

Bamford beat Jamie Vardy, Jack Grealish, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane to the award – that's the sort of company that he's keeping these days.

And Bamford hasn't stopped. He scored again in the 4-1 defeat to Crystal Palace and he should have had a brace after a very controversial decision to rule his first goal as offside.

Leeds fans are absolutely delighted with the award and queued up to react on Twitter. One said he was "phenomenal" while another said it could be a "majestic" season for him.

Here is a selection of the best...
