Paul Merson has backed Burnley to put "massive" pressure on Leeds United this weekend in the Premier League.

The Clarets take on Aston Villa on Saturday before the Whites travel to Arsenal on Sunday afternoon in must-win games.

Merson has predicted that Burnley will win, leaving Leeds and Jesse Marsch in desperate times before they kick off themselves.

Writing in his latest Sportskeeda column, Merson was not holding out much hope for Leeds this weekend from elsewhere.

"Burnley, on the other hand, have a bit of momentum and are flying along after the departure of Sean Dyche," he wrote.

"At the very least, they will make this game messy and difficult for Villa and I expect them to record three points to put massive pressure on Leeds United."

Pressure.

Leeds have not been in the relegation zone once this season in the Premier League, but that could all change this weekend.

Should Everton and Burnley win, and the Whites lose, they will be put under that pressure with only three games to go.

Of course, that may not happen and we are still backing our squad to fight for every last three points available in each of these remaining games.

Many have started to bet against Leeds because of the Arsenal and Chelsea games coming up, but who is to say that we will lose them?

Would it surprise anyone if we jumped out of the traps and were too relentless for both? We don't think it would.

The two London clubs haven't exactly been playing amazing football of late regardless of results, and Leeds only need a sniff to overwhelm whoever is in front of them.

It is still in our hands, and we know that if we win two of our remaining four, that may be enough - let's try and win them all.
