Leeds United have entered the race to sign Luis Palma from Greek club Aris, according to Diez.

The 23-year-old has scored 13 goals in all competitions this season for the Super League Greece club.

But several other clubs - including Rangers and newly-promoted Burnley - are also keen on his services.

“Teams for which the catracho (Honduran) has sounded are Gent and Anderlecht from Belgium, Dynamo Kyiv from Ukraine, Burnley and Leeds United from England and Rangers from Scotland,” according to Diez.

“In addition, Major League Soccer clubs are also looking for the services of Luis Palma.”

Big decision

It seems that Palma will have a free choice of his next destination this summer, with plenty of clubs seemingly interested in his signature.

And it’s obvious to see why, with the versatile attacker hitting figures of 13 goals and eight assists this season.

Able to operate in various areas in the final third, Palma looks exactly like the kind of young talent that Leeds will look to target this summer.

But the Whites will definitely have a battle on their hands for his signature, with that battle set to be made even more difficult if they are relegated from the Premier League this season.

The West Yorkshire outfit will struggle to land top players if they are playing in the Championship next time out, with an immediate promotion back to the top flight much harder than it sounds.

Palma only signed his long-term deal with Aris last year, but he and his club could be tempted to change things summer if a big-money move comes in.
