Leeds United player ratings vs Brighton: Ao Tanaka unbelievable, 4/10 teammate completely off it

Leeds United were held to a 1-1 draw away to Brighton.

Heading into the game, Leeds United had not scored a goal at the Amex Stadium since 2 November 2012, a record they wanted to end.

Daniel Farke certainly had a test on his hands to end that terrible run of form away to the Seagulls.

And it did not take long for the Whites to do so, with Jayden Bogle opening the scoring just 15 minutes in.

In the second half, Luka Vuskovic would net an equalising goal with the LS11 outfit not putting out the same level of performance as the first half.

By full-time, a draw was perhaps the correct result, with the performances of the Whites analysed.

Ao Tanaka pushing for consistent starting Leeds role

This was Ao Tanaka's first start of the Premier League season, and the Japanese midfielder certainly made a case to continue in that role.

Tanaka was tenacious, hard-working it was his relentlessness to not give up that ended up creating the goal for Bogle.

While Tanaka's assist may have actually been a shot from the midfielder, he won't care too much to add a goal contribution to his tally.

And even without that assist, he was still one of Leeds' best players on the pitch at the Amex.

Now, Farke will have a tough decision to make over whether Tanaka continues to start over the next few weeks.

Anton Stach struggled to get into the game against Brighton

Anton Stach's work rate can never be question but against the Seagulls, it felt like the German could never make anything stick.

The 27-year-old attempted to create plenty from out wide, with multiple crosses being lofted into the box.

But, few of those were successful in creating anything of note for the Yorkshire outfit.

Stach also missed one big chance in what was a fairly quiet performance, unlike what the German typically provides for Leeds.
