Leeds United are reportedly not in contact with Spanish manager Diego Martinez to replace Marcelo Bielsa at the end of the season.

The Argentine's deal expires in the summer and there are no guarantees whether or not he signs a new one at Elland Road.

Martinez has been linked with a move to Leeds should Bielsa leave, but Spanish media outlet Estadio Deportivo claim that the two parties are not in talks with the Whites likely to have moved on to alternatives.

Director of football Victor Orta knows the Spaniard well and is said to admire him.

According to The Telegraph, Jesse Marsch, Ernesto Valverde and Carlos Corberan are the candidates being considered by the club.

Hope he stays

There's no chance that a new manager comes in and things miraculously change under him.

Bielsa has been let down this season in terms of signings and has been unlucky to have an injury-ravaged squad.

His departure could see Raphinha and maybe even Kalvin Phillips following suit.

Neither of the managers linked quite have a personality like Bielsa, so it remains to be seen how the club handle the transition.

Ideally, another year of the Argentine would be a good move for all parties, but whether or not he wants to stay is another thing altogether.

Marsch appears to be the favourite, but his recent job was a failed stint at RB Leipzig and there are no guarantees he'll succeed at Elland Road.
